Nowadays, multimedia teaching is important in teaching-learning process, especially in teaching English. Almost of the teachers usually uses media in order to make the teaching learning English more interesting. For example: they can browse internet to get some information about their material that will teach at the class. After that, they can use blogs to write assignments for the students, news, research,etc.
Now, we can see how the differences between the teachers from other countries, such as: Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, and Indonesia use blog in their teaching English class.First speakers, Carla from Brazil uses blog for her teaching aids. Firstly, she was going to invite a mystery guest to her class, and her student are asked to find out who she/he is through blog. Another way is by asking her student to do international exchange through blog. They are asked to talk about certain subject with students in another country. She said that through blog, students are able to express themselves more, especially for shy student who has low confidence to talk in front of the class. The benefit are the student and the teacher more connected, the student can express them self and learn about other, encourage self potential. The challenge is how to keep the interaction highly.
Second speakers, Rita from Argentina. According to Rita, she uses the method with learn by experiences then use blog feature. They upload it to invite the comment. So, they use experience to practice. Language is one of a tool for communication with human being, that's why when we learn it, we have to use it as a tool for our communication. She said that blog is one of the tool for communication which is fast and comprehension. The challenges are bring over the student to learn to communicate and give them chance to enjoyment experience.
The last speakers, a teacher come from Taiwan.
In Indonesia uses the blog as media appertain new. From find out the blog then discuss in the class, introduction the blog, take the student to multimedia classroom. This kind of teaching aids has been used rarely because in certain area of our country, the internet is not accessible easily. Teachers are not also accustomed to use hi-tech media for their teaching aids
